CHOSEN POSTER

fig 1.0 chosen poster to improve

This was my chosen poster to improve. The poster suffers from a cluttered layout with scattered text and images, inconsistent font choices that diminish its seriousness, and low contrast—especially when text overlaps with images on a light background. Moreover, the mix of different image styles disrupts visual cohesion and fails to create a clear focal point for the viewer.

INFOGRAPHIC PROGRESS

fig 4.0 first progress

This is my progress at first because I wanted to be simple and easily to read but yet impactful. After getting feedback from Mr. Shamsul, he said it is too simple and the border makes things too compact.

I removed the borders and add beakers to represent the lab safety. Added more hazard logo to visualize the rules.

REFLECTION

Experience

I have learned about various types of posters, particularly how infographics can present a large amount of information while still remaining visually appealing. Effective infographics use a well-structured layout, clear typography, and a balanced mix of visuals and text to maintain readability. They often incorporate color schemes, icons, and graphs to break down complex information in an engaging way.

Observation

I’ve learned that hierarchy, simplifying information, and organizing elements are essential for effective infographics. A clear hierarchy guides the audience’s eyes, while structured layouts make content easier to digest. Colors, typography, and icons enhance readability and engagement—colors highlight key details, typography sets the tone, and icons break up text for better visual appeal. Understanding these principles has helped me appreciate how design elements work together to create clear and engaging infographics.

Findings

I’ve become more comfortable with motion graphics in After Effects, but finding inspiration still takes time. Exploring different styles, trends, and design techniques helps spark creativity and refine my ideas. Studying existing motion graphics broadens my perspective, allowing me to develop fresh concepts and improve future projects.
