REFLECTION
Experience
In our typography class, Mr. Vinod showed us how to use InDesign, especially for working with book layouts. I finally got a good understanding of different book sizes and learned how signature books work—basically, pages are grouped together in a way that keeps everything organized for printing and binding. It gave me a new appreciation for how page layouts and spacing come together to make a book look polished and professional.
Observation
In our typography class, I observed that InDesign shows/teach us about book layouts, especially when it came to understanding different book sizes. Watching Mr. Vinod's tutorial, working with signature books noticing that the grouping pages together plays a crucial role in keeping the final product organized for printing and binding.
Findings
I realized that finding the right layout and positioning for paragraphs and images is crucial for making the content easy and enjoyable for the audience to read. The placement affects how readers move through the page, guiding their focus and making the information more accessible. It showed me how much impact a well-thought-out layout has on the overall reading experience.
