ILLUSTRATION N VISUAL NARRATIVE
LECTURE
Week 1 - 9/27/2023
On our first week of lecture, Mr. Hafiz told us to create a e-portfolio
so that we could put our exercises and work. He gave us one activity on
website which we can practice using the pen tool. Teaching us the basic
use of the pen tool and such.
Week 2 - 4/10/2023
Second week of the lecture, we were given the task to use the shapes
that he provide for us to create a monster or any of the character
without distorting or cutting the shapes.
Week 3 - 11/10/2023
on week 3, we learned about using the knife tool to cut the shape
and separate it. While learning how to use the knife tool, we can
change the color of shape because its being separated. We worked
on the creating the shape with an image of the pear.
Knowing how to cut, change color based on the shadow and light
and make it to look from 2D to 3D shape.
Week 4 - 18/10/2023
Week 4, we use the same technique from week 3 and learn how
to blend with color and image.

the process of making are fairly straightforward by placing the shapes to produce a character. My idea was to create a creepy lady with a black figure and white face to emphasizes the eerie.

Since this is my first time using adobe illustrator, I learn
a lot by using knife tool, pathfinder etc. Knowing where to
cut based on its shadow and light from the pear.
TASK 3 - COLORS AND BLENDING MODE

Making this was fun because I get to blend different images to the shadow of this figure that I cut out. Giving me the idea of dreamlike art.
TASK 4 - ILLUSTRATOR VORMATOR
Since week 1, we were assigned to produce a character.
This task was quite confusing since it's my first time
using Adobe Illustrator and knowing how to cut shape, fill
in the color etc. It was very interesting to produce
a character that I imagined before.

REFLECTION
Experience
This assignment was quite difficult for me to work because I've never use Adobe Illustrator before so therefor a lot of features I'm not use to. After a few lecture on using AI, I started to learn new things and feel confident to use.
Observation
It was my first time creating graphic illustration using Adobe Illustrator, and seeing people's work shows that if they can keep up with the work means I can also do it too. By practicing and keep watching some tutorial, I realized it wasn't too complicated.
Findings
A lot of challenges that I have come across during the process of creating a monster using Ai, It's important for me to ask for feedback so that I know that I'm in the right track.
